Acting

Speleers’ first professional job was as the lead in 20th Century Fox’s film adaptation of Christopher Paolini’s best-selling novel Eragon in 2006. He auditioned for several roles before getting the character of Eragon, including Peter Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, which he lost to William Moseley.

In 2008, he played Jimmy Penwarden in the British primetime series Echo Beach. He also appeared in the comedy Moving Wallpaper and an episode of Moving Wallpaper: The Mole, which was widely seen as a satire of Echo Beach.
